Thanks to Jeff Westover and the team at MMC for allowing us to come together and do a heck of a podcast interview. If you want to listen to it, go into the 50 minute range, but we recommend you listen to the whole thing because so much work is put into every episode.

Episode #42 Summary

The Christmas music contributions of Italian-American crooner Perry Como is explored from a career that spanned 60 years. The timeless classics such as There’s No Place Like Home for the Holidays and It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas are just the beginning of what there is to know about Como’s Christmas music. He was an extraordinarily consistent entertainer, a man whose private life shunned controversy and whose broad appeal for generations through music and television now extends well beyond his time.

Also hailing from Italy is the Christmas witch-like character and legend of La Befana. We tell her story, her origins and with it explore just a bit more about the culture and Christmas celebrations in Italy.

In this episode we also chat with a founder of Team YANTSU about their Christmas Eve tradition of tracking Santa online with folks from all over the world.

Music in this episode is epic and fun. We hear the latest from country artist JD Shelburne and from a cappella group Pentatonix.

This episode also features a look into the parks and resorts of Disney and what it is like to spend Christmas there.

And finally we take a look at everything that has changed about Black Friday and discuss why the event this year will be unlike any other in history.

On the whole, it’s more than an hour and 15 minutes of festive Christmas!
